A website
for everyone.

Our commitment to making nxtspacelabs.com and the products we build usable by as many people as possible — regardless of vision, hearing, motor ability, cognitive style, or the device in their hand.

1. Our commitment

NextSpace Labs is committed to designing, building, and maintaining digital products that are perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for all users, including those who use assistive technologies. Accessibility is not a checkbox at the end of a project — it is a design constraint we accept from the first sketch.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We also design with the expectations of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (India), the European Accessibility Act, EN 301 549, the UK Equality Act 2010, and the US Americans with Disabilities Act in mind.

2. What we already do

  • Semantic structure. Every page uses semantic HTML with a clear document outline, landmarks, and heading hierarchy so screen readers can move through the content naturally.
  • Keyboard navigation. All interactive controls are reachable and operable using a keyboard alone, with visible focus indication and a “Skip to content” link as the first focusable element.
  • Text contrast. Body copy is designed against a dark theme with contrast checked against WCAG AA thresholds. Long-form prose uses a legible serif at comfortable sizes.
  • Motion respect. Decorative animation is subtle by default, and we honour the operating-system prefers-reduced-motion setting — if you have it enabled, we do not animate.
  • Data respect. We honour save-data, load fonts asynchronously, and design pages to remain usable even if a network is slow or scripts fail to run.
  • Descriptive links. Link text describes the destination rather than relying on “click here” or “read more” alone.
  • Descriptive alternatives. Images, icons, and SVG glyphs carry alt or aria-label attributes when they convey information, and are marked decorative when they do not.
  • Forms. Form controls have programmatic labels; error messages are text, not colour alone; required fields are marked in both text and code.
  • Screen orientation. Layouts adapt to portrait and landscape and do not require a specific orientation to be usable.
  • Print & save. Long documents (Privacy, Terms, Cookies, Security, this statement, Responsible AI, IP) offer both an in-page print stylesheet and a downloadable PDF for offline reading.

3. What we are still working on

We publish this list because pretending we have no gaps would be more insulting than admitting to them.

  • Video content on the home page currently has no captions; we plan to add them where narration is present.
  • A high-contrast “reading mode” is under design, for people who find the ambient dark background too soft.
  • A larger text-size preference toggle is planned; browser text-zoom is fully honoured today.
  • The custom cursor effect is decorative only; a system-cursor fallback remains available for users who prefer it. We are evaluating whether to disable the effect entirely for users on touch devices.
  • Our accessibility conformance audit is currently self-assessed; an independent audit is on the roadmap for 2026.

4. Testing methodology

We combine automated and manual testing:

  • Automated scans using widely-used accessibility linters as part of our build process.
  • Manual keyboard walk-throughs of each page.
  • Screen-reader smoke tests on VoiceOver (macOS/iOS) and TalkBack (Android). Windows NVDA testing is planned.
  • Colour-contrast verification against WCAG AA thresholds.
  • Live-user testing during studio sessions where accessibility questions come up.

5. If something on our site is inaccessible to you

The most important line on this page is the one that gives you a way out. If any part of nxtspacelabs.com is difficult or impossible for you to use, please write to us. Include:

  • The page URL and, if you can, the specific element or interaction.
  • The assistive technology you are using (if any) and its version.
  • Your browser and operating system.
  • A short description of what went wrong.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within three business days and to fix material issues promptly. Where a fix will take longer, we will provide an alternative way to reach the same content.

6. Third-party content

Our Website may embed content or interactive elements provided by third parties (for example, a payment provider’s checkout widget or a bot-prevention challenge). We choose partners with a demonstrated accessibility commitment, but the accessibility of those specific components is ultimately owned by the third party. If a third-party embed is blocking you, please write to us so we can help — and press the partner on your behalf.

7. Standards we align to

  • WCAG 2.2 Level AA (target).
  • WAI-ARIA 1.2 for enhanced semantics where native HTML does not suffice.
  • EN 301 549 for European public-sector alignment.
  • Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (India), and the rules made under it.
