Four ways we
carry the pen.
We do not sell hours. We take responsibility for outcomes. Each engagement below is authored the same way we build our own products — from first principles, and until the answer breathes.
You have a founder-shaped hunch — a problem that keeps returning, a category that feels underserved, an audience nobody has quite heard yet. We become your first thinking partner and your first shipping partner.
We help you name the problem, decide what to build first, prototype, ship, and stay through the moments when the product finds its shape. When we are done, you carry it forward with a team that understands what you built and why.
Language models are the new water — cheap, everywhere, and easily wasted. We help teams find the shape of intelligence that actually serves their users: quiet, precise, cited, revocable.
We work through the whole stack, from evaluation harnesses and grounding layers, to the last five percent of interaction design that decides whether people trust the answer. We do not chase demos. We ship interfaces that hold up under a Tuesday.
Some of the most consequential product decisions live between design and engineering — in the tempo of a transition, the weight of a font, the choice to remove an element rather than add one. We work in that seam.
Bring us in when a product already ships, but does not yet sing. We rebuild the parts that need rebuilding, and leave your team with the taste, the tooling, and the language to keep going.
The best products are held up by architectures nobody notices. When your team is about to double, when you are moving from one country to five, when the demand is rising faster than the code can carry it — that is when we step in.
We help you design and build the platform underneath: identity, payments, real-time, storage, observability, safety. Boring on purpose. Load-bearing by design.
Four rhythms, in order.
Every engagement follows the same four rhythms — but the tempo changes with the work. Some projects are weeks. Some are years. The order is always the same.
Sit with the question.
Before we design or code, we listen. We find the real problem underneath the requested feature. Everything follows from what we learn here.
Prototype in public.
We build small, working answers early — often within a week. Nothing convinces like a running product; nothing surfaces truth faster than a prototype.
Ship, quietly.
We do not launch things. We ship them. Small, honest releases. Real users. Real telemetry. Real reactions. Then we iterate on what we learn.
Hand it back.
We are not here to become the team you can't fire. We leave documentation, decisions, and a team that can carry the product further than we could.
Three ways to bring us in.
Founder residency.
Six-to-twelve weeks. We sit next to your team, help you decide what to build first, and ship the first cut of it. Ideal for zero-to-one work.
Product partnership.
Three-to-twelve months. We take end-to-end responsibility for a product or platform surface, alongside your team. Ideal for real ambition.
Advisory retainer.
A standing invitation. We stay close to your team for the moments you need a second pair of hands or a second pair of eyes. Quiet, ongoing, high signal.
Have a real problem?
Tell us what you are trying to build. We will tell you honestly whether we can help.
